This edition of Maidentrip will showcase work by twelve graduates of BEAR ArtEZ and Fine Art HKU from the years 2024, 2025, and 2026.
Peter and I immediately decided that our first exhibition at the Showdepot would feature young artists. We thought an extensive Maidentrip would be a good start. After all, we missed three years due to the move.
Maidentrip has always been a valuable way for us to connect with the youngest generation of artists. In the past, it has led to beautiful purchases and valuable new contacts that we cherish. I would like to continue that.
Four scouts (Frank Koolen, Gijs Assmann, Hester Oerlemans, Lieven Hendriks) made a preliminary selection for me from all the graduates.
From the 16 artists proposed, I chose eight:

This summer, I will select four more graduates during this year's final exams.
