The white wall is not a blank canvas
Every exhibition leaves its mark on an institution.
During his solo exhibition ALL TOGETHER SOLO, Willem de Haan creates a heat map of all 22 exhibitions that preceded his. Precise areas of colour on the wall indicate where artworks have been hung and placed. The warmer the colour, the more that section of wall has been covered with works by Willem's colleagues during previous exhibitions. Is there a pattern to be recognised in how the same space is appropriated time and time again? And what do you add to a space in which so much has already preceded you?
‘The nice thing about the replica is that you don't have to make any design choices yourself. It ties in with the working method of not trying to adapt something, but purely adapting the way you look at something. In reality, I'm not creating anything new, but ensuring that something that already exists can be seen in a different way, for example by placing a replica in an alternative location.’

Het Showdepot heeft 2 ingangen.
Komt u lopend, met de fiets of met het openbaar vervoer, gebruik dan de ingang aan de Nieuwe Havenweg 31.
Komt u met de auto, parkeer dan op Cleantech Park Arnhem en gebruik de ingang aan de Westervoortsedijk 73.
U bent echter vrij in de keuze van de ingang.
Fiets
Ongeveer 12 minuten vanaf station Arnhem Centraal (OV-fiets).
Gebruik de ingang Nieuwe Havenweg 31.
Openbaar vervoer
Vanaf station Arnhem Centraal reist u in circa 10 minuten met buslijn 12 of 43 naar halte Haven.
Vanaf daar is het nog 9 minuten lopen naar de ingang Nieuwe Havenweg 31.

Stel uw routeplanner in op Westervoortsedijk 73, Arnhem of gebruik de onderstaande link.
Parkeren kan op Cleantech Park Arnhem. Bij de aanschaf van een ticket ontvangt u, naast uw toegangsbewijs, een QR-code waarmee u direct door de slagboom van Cleantech Park kunt rijden. Aanmelden bij de portier is niet nodig. Op het terrein zijn tevens laadpunten voor elektrische auto’s beschikbaar.
