A new arrangement of the collection with many new acquisitions, including the beautiful film Nightfall by Jeroen Eisinga and a site-specific work by Johannes Langkamp.
At the beginning of September 2019, DE.GROEN will open with SETUP.04, featuring many new works in the collection. Over the past year, we have been able to add a number of beautiful works to the collection.
For example, the film “Nightfall” by Jeroen Eisinga. This film, which lasts about an hour, can be viewed in its entirety in our new video room. Over the past 20 years, Eisinga has created a number of cinematic gems. “Nightfall” is his latest film.
The Rotterdam artist of German origin, Johannes Langkamp, has created a site-specific work commissioned by DE.GROEN. A work that moves slowly in all its simplicity.
In addition to these works, we have added more good pieces to our collection. A new fine painting by Ide André. A marble run by Chantal van Lieshout. Puffy Bags by Willem de Haan. A piece of the moon, Mars and Earth by Belgian artist Julien de Fauw. We recently acquired the work “Eternal Sunset” by Thijs Linssen, a real-time computer simulation. An epoxy work and a car window by Arash Fakhim and the beautiful but dramatic work “Flip Flops”, a small collection of worn flip-flops, by Berlin-based Hester Oerlemans.
A major change in SETUP.04 is the permanent video room. This professionally equipped space allows videos from the collection to be shown to their full advantage. The videos can only be viewed at the end of a guided tour.
