Bakker is an artist who mainly works in the field of community art. Drawing on her own personal world and work, she often uses collections for this form of art. These are collections that she already has or that she puts together specifically for a commission. When travelling, Bakker creates so-called travel images, in which details are highlighted and emphasised. The photographs in the collection show landscapes and details. They raise questions about scale: is it monumental or very small? Bakker sees opportunities to create new images everywhere. For her, it's about the idea and the pleasure, without pretension.
