Jürgen von Duckerhoff

Jurgen von Duckerhoff is a German artist living and working in Hamburg. Von Duckerhoff works with images from magazines and other forms of press. The technique he uses is called "Radieren", which means erasing the photograph. Within the image taken from existing forms of press, he creates a new image which is made up of erased surfaces, lines and forms which together with the remains of the image, result in a new image. Humor, sex and emptiness are hidden ingredients which arise in these new images.
