Ide André creates marks. He is a painter without a brush and usually without a canvas either; he prefers to use fabric. The fabric determines the colour. He creates the marks by striking the fabric with rope or cables, or by rolling stones over the fabric as it lies on the ground. Afterwards, like a photographer, he can frame his shot. Frozen movements, or the shadows of a movement. What remains after a fierce struggle, a wild party or a heated conversation.
